We had a very nice meal including fried Shrimp buffalo wrap a Smokehouse burger Seaford Pasta and a Seafood platter. Everything tasted good. Not very busy so atmosphere was nice.
1/16/25 5 PM Monday We went to the American Civil War Museum -Yorktown a small ways down the road and decided to try WSG on Water Street. January is considered the off season so we walked in quite easily. Summer , according to the waiter is a different story. Adjacent to the beach, I can see how popular it would be. We ordered the crab dip, fish and chips, and Cobb salad. We ate it all! Extra brownie points for being next to a Love sign and offering a military discount!
The owner, managers and staff at Water Street Grille are absolutely amazing! We had rented a small space to celebrate one of our staff accomplish her nursing degree and Steven Boyer and Brad Monte (managers) guided me through our reservation up until the day of the event. They were just as excited to celebrate our nurse as we were which showed just how much they care about their clients and their needs. On the evening of the event both managers and the owner Sid Hall met me at the event and made sure everything was perfectly set up and took care of all my guests needs and congratulated our new nurse on her accomplishment. The respect we received from the staff as well as the prompt service we were shown by our waitresses Maria and Victoria illustrates that this establishment truly cares for their clients and we will definitely be revisiting here for all future events! The food was amazing and the atmosphere relaxing which is what I truly value along with an accommodating and respectful staff. Thank you all!!!
We went to Water Street Grille on Friday, 11/29/2024 for lunch while on a tour of historic Yorktown. There were 9 of us. Had a wonderful dining experience. Great food, great location with views of York river and great service. Maria was our server and did a great job taking care of our large party. Thanks. Todd R.

Service was fantastic even though they were very busy with several large tables. There was a variety of foods available on the menu. I had a BBQ wrap and onion rings and they were good. Portions were big with more than enough for one. We sat outside on the patio. It was loud. We faced the riverwalk. It was a nice setting.
Enjoyed a burger and a cider at the bar. Service was ok, but they were quite busy so I want to give them the benefit of doubt. The burger was juiced and the fries were perfectly crispy and salted well! Great selection of things on tap. We tried a seasonal cider and it was great - Carmel apple cider. Ambience is overall good, nothing crazy but some tables have a nice view of the water.
While on vacation we stopped by here around 4:00 on a Monday and it was quiet as expected. We sat on the patio with a nice view of the river. I started with the crab dip and chips. The crab dip was seasoned very well with great flavor, excellent dish. I then had a Margherita Pizza that was ok. The cocktails were excellent. It was a nice afternoon watching the river and the people. Service was very good.
Kiddo didn't want lunch at farmers market at York Town beach, so WSG it is. Nice covered back patio with water views. Food was solid - fried dishes were light, not greasy- creative sauces. Huge portion of calamari - easily an app for a crowd. Good service & reasonably priced (esp for location).
